Public Enemy vs White Stripes – White Enemy
// October 23rd, 2004 // Uncategorized
Well this came through and I got Meggs to rip it to mp3 for me, and it’s pretty great. Course I would say that seeing as I just spent £20 on a single track but meh. This, for people who don’t know is a mix up between Public Enemy – Bring the Noise and The White Stripes – Seven Nation Army. It’s based around P.E.s acappella over the Seven Nation Army beat. It works to great effect. The second verse especially – the end of every word of Chucks rant hitting every beat perfectly. Only 500 of this 7″ was pressed so it’s pretty hard to find, but well worth your while if you do.

any chance you could e-mail me re this track

Hi. I heard this track at the 2004 Roskilde Festival during Fatboy Slims DJ-set.
Needless to say I’ve been searching for it ever since.
Just a few minutes ago I hit paydirt, well sort of. Since it seems impossible to find a rip it I started to
search the net for live sets of Fatboy Slim. That finally paid off.
Search for Fatboy Slims live set from Glastonbury 2004. Now, I KNOW it’s not the same as having complete tune,
but until I find it, this’ll have to do.
i neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
I heard this song while a friend of mine was getting her hair cut (being played on Radio 1 by the late, great John Peel). The chune is absolute genius, taking 2 songs (1 underground smash, the other more commercially successful) and blending them together. It had me digging out my old PE records!!! I take my hat off to the people who put this together (a big thankyou also has to go to P. Olofsson with the Fatboy Slim info…..)
