Friday I got up, got a lift to lesson with Evv, then was picked up by Nick and Vick and tallyho’d to Alton Towers, where we met up with Evv, Rob, Luke, Beaver and the other guy (cripes! forgot his name already). Anyway it was pretty much standard Alton Towers fare……..except NO queues(y), well maybe a couple, but only for like ten minutes or so. They’d changed a couple of things, they’ve gone for the probably lucrative option of having Cussons sponser the log flume, so it’s got a whole bathtub theme, rather than a log flume one. They souped it up a little too, no leaks, and there’s this duck that comes out at you quacking in one of the dark bits, which was really quite..funny. The other different thing – ridewise, was a new roller coaster, which has a rotating top which you sat in, it appeared to be over even quicker than other rollercoaster, but it was fun nonetheless. Perhaps more so because it was the first time I’d rode it.
Everything else seemed pretty much the same…..the oblivion stopped with someone up there, the blackhole stopped working etc etc. I won at the ghost train shooting thingy h), but lost twice at Dance Dance Revolution to Vick 
I had this really really nice chicken tikka wrap too, which left us all wanting more, but cursing the price. (more…)
